Scholars in enterprise and administration have began studying the position of blockchains to assist collaboration. It has been argued that blockchains can foster each cooperation (i.e., prevention of opportunistic behavior) and coordination (i.e., communication and data sharing). Thanks to reliability, transparency, traceability of data, and knowledge immutability, blockchains facilitate collaboration in a means that differs each from the normal use of contracts and from relational norms. Contrary to contracts, blockchains don’t immediately rely on the authorized system to implement agreements. In addition, contrary to the use of relational norms, blockchains do not require trust or direct connections between collaborators. Inside the cryptocurrency industry, concern about high vitality consumption has led some companies to consider moving from the proof of labor blockchain model to the much less energy-intensive proof of stake model.
